About the Role:
Cyient seeks an experienced Logistics Coordinator (P4) to work with our Energy and Industrial Power team. You will serve as a consultant to various operating units within the business, performing studies on complex logistics movements such as modularization, estimating, purchasing, and sales negotiations by identifying and advising engineering, purchasing, and marketing of transportation capabilities and limitations. You will work with the Project Team to develop and execute the logistics plan and sourcing activities for international projects, emphasizing controlling costs while meeting schedule, customer, and compliance requirements.
You Will:
- Identify risks and opportunities when developing logistics plan and freight estimates for super loads, and complex international shipments to ensure cost-effective, safe, and efficient transportation.
- Create and coordinate the documentation and movement of import and export shipments safely, timely, and cost-effectiveness.
- Select, procure, and control supplier logistics across all modes: truck, rail, dimensional rail, barge, ocean, and air, ensuring departmental objectives are met, assuring compliance with customs, export, applicable foreign trade/importation laws, as well as applicable federal transport regulations.
- Provide direction to various operating units and performs studies on complex logistics movements such as modularization of components
- Evaluates and initiates applications for new or revised transportation and government duty rate and classification of all materials and products to ensure application of correct duties and taxes.
- Sources and negotiates with transportation suppliers to ensure departmental objectives are met including lowest-cost, highest-quality and on-time delivery.
- Assists in component design, contract/purchase quotations, estimating, purchasing, and sales negotiations by identifying and advising engineering, purchasing, and marketing of transportation capabilities and limitations.
You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation, Supply Management, or Logistics
- Total experience 10+ years, with 6+ years’ experience in the transportation field
- Knowledge of US Import/Export documentation, including Shippers’ Letters of Instruction (SLI); AES Filings (SED); Certificates of Origin; FTA Certificates; ECCN, Proforma Invoices; Schedule B/HTS classification.
- Knowledge of International Logistics methodologies, including project cargo, services, and regulations.
- Knowledge of ocean shipping, including part charter, break bulk, services, and regulations (such as but not limited to BIMCO Rules and booking notes)
- Knowledge of Incoterms 2010
