Power Solutions is where new product ideas and technologies are developed, matured, tested and improved. Continuous Improvement Management CIM is a department within Power Solutions. Continuous Improvement Management (CIM) is a function that operates across Vestas' value chain including external suppliers and partners, global multi-disciplined and cross-functional projects primarily related to product improvement.
CIM Electrical & Controls is a small group of Engineers and Project Managers working with electrical related issues. We are seated in Aarhus, Ringkøbing, Porto and Chennai, however, we have focused on working as a team.
Responsibilities
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer, who will be focused on delivering high-quality electrical solutions. Your key responsibilities include:
- Investigating electrical failures of wind turbines reported by site technicians and design engineers
- Act as the primary contact supporting regional Engineers - describe failure mode, problem statement, facts and statistics in relation to CIM cases
- Ensure alignment with stakeholders - Module Owners, SQD, Service, Construction, Legal and Finance including suppliers and manufacturers of the affected component
- Identify short and long-term actions with preventive measures to reduce the effect of failure
- Advice development of improvement solutions including testing and verification with the testing specifications for the solution
- Evaluate, process and create data for reporting CIM cases and documents for internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Deliver the solutions within the quality, time and cost targets agreed for the project
Qualifications
Your qualifications include:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Electrical / Similar engineering background
- Experience within wind Industry especially with WTGs will be preferred
- Experience with DMAIC or other problem-solving methodology
- Exposure to SCRUM and gate models is good to have
- Have knowledge on Engineering drawings / Electrical circuit drawings with cross engineering experience and required documentation
- Technical leadership & Project management skills (technical project management)

- Well-verse with CAD viewer tools and SAP

- Have good communication skills - fluent in both verbal and written English
- Self-motivated, willing to take ownership with an investigative mindset
- Experience with high-paced cross-functional and cross-cultural teams is beneficial

Additional information
Your work location will be in Ringkøbing, E.F. Jacobsens Vej 7, Denmark.
Travelling to various sites will be part of the role for a maximum of 15 days a year.
