Job Description
Fabricate, assemble, modify, and repair the metal parts of an aircraft.
Work with other materials as well, such as fiberglass or bonded honeycomb.
Lay out plans based on the engineer's blueprints, then assemble and install components to the aircraft.
Duties include sizing and cutting the metal components and painting them once the parts are installed. Responsible for performing routine inspections on the aircraft and troubleshooting issues to discover problem spots in the aircraft frame and components.
