Descrição
Reporting to the Legal Director:
- Independent and autonomous legal advice and support to the different departments of the company in several locations in Portugal in all legal matters, with a focus on real estate law (based on the company's headquarters).
- Independent management and lead of projects with reference to various fields of law;
- Independent management and coordination of internal and external correspondence, e.g. with Managing Directors or public authorities;
- Drafting and negotiating contracts under real estate law, in particular commercial leases with future tenants/brand stores and contracts under construction law;
- General contract law, such as cooperation agreements, marketing and retail events, service contracts with external providers as well as employment agreements;
- Drafting corporate documents, including minutes of the shareholders meetings
- Observing and ensuring with national and European legislation and regulations, amongst other in the area of data protection, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation, and other compliance requirements (e.g. ESG);
- Managing disputes and litigation;
- Independent commissioning and management of external lawyers;
- Creation and updating of template contracts, internal guidelines and other standard templates.
Perfil ideal
- 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in a law firm or internationally operating company (retail company experience is a plus);
- Generalist with special knowledge and experience on real estate law;
- Excellent knowledge of Portuguese and English (mandatory);
- Independent and solution-oriented approach to work, high motivation and economic thinking, pro-active approach;
- Hands on and flexible profile;
- Excellent communication skills and persuasiveness to work in an international working environment;
- Quick grasp of legal issues and strong implementation skills;
- Excellent drafting skills;
- Confident appearance, reliable;
- Ability to communicate assertively with different interlocutors in the organization;
- Team player and working well in a dynamic, matrix organization;
- Willingness to travel from time to time.
