This leadership role is a key one in the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics and Paralympics project and a key support to the General Manager, providing critical expertise on overall event utilization strategy, objectives and planning activities in order to maximize the return generated by the winter Games for the Local System. On top of the Venue Operations Leadership, she/he will be a key resource to guide and coordinate other functions to assure an excellent delivery of the Olympics and Paralympic Games.
You will be a critical resource to engage with the whole system team (TCCC & CCH), the Global Sports Partnership Team (EPIC) and the Local Olympic Committee Organizing Games Teams to fulfil our obligations and leverage on our contractual rights to promote our Brands and Corporate initiatives.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Develop a clear and bold Vision of Success of for the Coca-Cola / Milano Cortina 2026 Venue Operation Function bringing to life project legacies. Assure a strategic and operative alignment with System’s objectives/legacies and other operative functions (mainly Asset and Hospitality) to assure and excellent Delivery of the Winter Olympic Games.
- Work closely with Olympics GM to define Strategy, project definition and management.
- Engages the whole system team behind Winter Olympics and Paralympics Milano Cortina 2026, mainly with the Italian System Team (TCCC & CCH), Global Sponsorship Team and the Olympic Organizing Committee.
- Responsible for delivery the Games with specific regards to Venue Operations, Planning & Sustainability within venues, accreditations and coordination with Assets lead and Hospitality
- Develop strong working relationship with all relevant external constituencies including, but not limited to, all relevant functions within the Olympic Committee Organizing Games (Fondazione Milano Cortina) and Olympic Caterers; and internal constituencies including, but not limited to, relevant functions of TCCC Italy, CCH and the Global Sports Partnership Team (EPIC).
- Define and Execute the overall Venue Operations Plan aligning operational objectives with overall System’s objectives and legacies; develop and manage an operating plan for around 25 Olympic Venues and sites.
- Develop a complete staffing plan to fulfil Project’s needs. This will include the Venue Operations System Management Team and the staffing plan for every venues, including Venue Managers , Supervisors and the Venue workforce/staff.
- Develop and manage a complete “Value In Kind” program to fulfil a major contractual obligation of TCCC towards the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Committee Organizing Games (OCOG - Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026).
- Develop and manage a complete “public catering” (concessions) program serving stadiums, winter Olympic venues and official public viewing spectators with Company product, merchandising and equipment, through collaboration with appointed Olympic Caterers and CCH Key Account teams.
- Develop and manage a complete logistics plan facilitating flows of product, equipment and merchandising from existing System or Vendor facilities to all official Olympic venues/sites, including security, maintenance program and planning reactive actions if needed (IMCR).
- Manage all accreditations processes that involve Milano Cortina 2026 and Training & Onboarding Services for the all Venues workforce.
- In collaboration with the relevant local and corporate functions, develop and execute all environmental programs within Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Venues. Coordinate all team’s activities on environmental sustainability to achieve environmental sustainability objectives and system legacies.
- Non-exhaustive - This role will evolve over time, other responsibilities may be assigned to the incumbent who should demonstrate agility and flexibility.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant work experience in a business transformation function, project management role or consulting, with proven experience in operations of Key Global Events.
- Knowledge of The Coca-Cola System (i.e. Company and Bottler): Commercial, Operational and Supply Chain aspects to execute System’s plans will be a strong plus.
- Passionate about Sports and Olympic and Paralympic Games. Previous experiences within the Olympic Games and the Olympic family will be a strong plus.
- Strategic overview and understanding of brand strategies and activation.
- Experience in navigating complex, international and networked environments with proven ability to manage various internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong relationship building and communication / influencing skills, leading teams in new ways of working.
- Strong project management skills, organizational skills, ability to coordinate inputs, requirements, and demands of numerous constituencies and stakeholders into a cohesive effort.
- Ability to establish project governance, performance measurements, modelling/forecasting and feedback systems that ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of projects; timely and effective course-correction skills.
- Ability to simplify, synthetize and build powerful presentations to support the project.
- Ability to work under pressure, with a flexible attitude to deal with changing priorities and multiple decision makers.
- Strong sense of team belonging, willing to help all team member.
- Pro-active worker, coming with solutions together when flagging problems and proven ability to work unsupervised.
- Willingness to learn, import best practices and challenge the status quo.
- Knowledge of agile methodology and ways of working is a plus, willingness to learn and to implement agile practices is expected.
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Italian is appreciated but is not a requirement.
