Position overview
MSCI is seeking a highly motivated & talented interns to participate building new data use cases through python based development, quality assurance development, exploratory analysis of new data problems and machine learning modeling Sales, Finance and Marketing Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDWH) platform.
This role is a personal contributor and will participate lifecycle elements of warehousing and/or machine learning model development. This role will also build and automate test suites. Should be familiar with the basics of python-based software engineering and optionally foundations of statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms. The candidate should be able to build an understanding of the analytical platform the solution is running on and need to be able to contribute and/or optimize it.
Your key responsibilities
- Python based development of ETL/ELT processes
- Perform exploratory analysis on data assets to be delivered or already in the EDWH platform
- Build and understand machine learning models for specific use cases
Specific knowledge and skills
- Basic coding skills in python and SQL
- Intermediate understanding of statistical analysis and learning concepts
- Hands on experience with analytical python packages (numpy, sci-kit learn, pandas, tensorflow, keras)
- Ability to follow SDLC and demonstrate results with clarity

- Demonstrate the ability to work systematically and logically to analyze situations, resolve problems, identify root causes, and anticipate implications.

- Clear and effective English communications skills
