The incumbent in this role is responsible for planning, organising, leading and controlling all blasting activities in the Opencast Operations.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Adhering to mine’s procedures in execution of all blasting activities.
- Maintaining Health, Safety, Environmental and Production requirements.
- Being cost effective and meeting deadlines.
About you:
To be considered for this role, you will meet the following minimum requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12.
- Opencast blasting certificate.
- Magazine Master Certificate (SA Police Service – Explosives) will be advantageous.
- Drivers’ License (Code EB/08)
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 7 years’ opencast mining experience of which 1 year should be at a Blast Controller / Magazine Master level.
