Job Order ID: 1629732 Openings: 1 Status: Full Time Hours per Week: 40 Experience Required: 12 months Education Required: Associate Degree Minimum Age: 18 Drivers License Class: 1 - Car/Lt Truck/Moped/Non CDL Vehicle Job Title: Impact Psychiatric Nurse Salary: $31000.00 - $35000.00 Per Yearly Doeq Duration: Over 150 Days Days: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun Shift: Day, Swing, Graveyard Licenses/Certification: Minimum of a LPN license Lifting Requirements: Medium to 50 Pou! nds Endorsements: Desired Skills: Description: This member of ! the IMPACT multidisciplinary team is responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments; assessing physical health needs; making appropriate referrals to community physicians; providing management and administration of medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist; providing a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services; and sharing shift-management responsibility with other staff. Expects employees to be welcoming to consumers, including those with co-occurring disorders, and engaging consumers at their current stage of recovery. Services provided will be in accordance with plans and guidelines as established employer/IMPACT Program and the State Division of Mental Health. The psychiatric nurse must have a minimum of a LPN and should have at least one year of work experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting.
Must have a strong commitment to the right and ability to each person with a severe mental illness to live in normal community! residences; work in market jobs; and have access to helpful, adequate, competent, and continuous supports and services. Skills and competence to establish supportive trusting relationships with persons with severe and persistent mental illnesses and respect for client rights and personal preferences in treatment are essential. Provide case management for an assigned group of clients, providing therapy and symptom management, ensuring immediate changes are made in the treatment plans as clients` needs change, educating and supporting clients` families, and advocating for clients` rights and preferences. Conduct comprehensive assessment of psychiatric history, mental status, and dianosis; physical health and dental health; use of drugs or alcohol; education and employment; social development and functioning; activities of daily living; and family structure and relationships.
Consult with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in the treatment proce! ss. Perform shift management in coordination with other IMPACT shift ma! nagers according to established policies and procedures.
