Description: South Dakota State University is currently seeking to employ Assistant Professor in Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice right now, this position will be situated in South Dakota. South Dakota State University College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a full-time, 12-mo! nth, non-tenure track Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. The position is in the area of Psychiatry Clinical Pharmacy Practice and will be based at Avera Behavioral Health in Sioux Falls, SD.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities include maintaining a viable psychiatry clinical pharmacy practice, didactic instruction, precepting on-site students, and contributing to various committees within both the academic and healthcare settings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
An earned Pharm.D. with a residency or equivalent experience and eligibility for South Dakota licensure are required; evidence of successful communication ability (written and oral); and satisfactory interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in monitoring drug therapy, service, and education activities; experience on college and institutional committees; experience in individual or collaborative research. SALARY: Com! mensurate with qualifications.

The College of Pharmacy offers a six-year course of study leading to a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree and has had the successful entry level Pharm.D. program since 1994. The Department of Pharmacy Practice provides classroom and clerkship instruction for the last two years of the Pharm.D. degree program, and also contributes classroom instruction and early experiential training for the pharmaceutical sciences phase of the degree. Faculty are located at various practice sites providing students the opportunity for diverse learning experiences.
