General Responsibilities

Ensuring an exceptional customer and candidate experience through verifying employment, reference, and education information. Additionally, criminal, credit, and database checks shall be processed while adhering to FCRA and regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.

Criminal Records Researcher and Verifications Associate

  • Experience conducting criminal research and/or verifications
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures and industry standards
  • Strong documentation and data entry skills
  • Perform other duties/assignments as required in a professional manner
  • Ability to speak with a helpful demeanor and tactful with customers to resolved issues or obtain clarification
  • Keep well informed of the latest industry best practices and company operating procedures for performing background screenings and criminal record searches
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills. Accuracy is paramount
  • Prioritize follow-up requirements for new and pending backgrounds to ensure prompt processing
  • Collaborate and work well with team members is a must to work through issues
  • Strong telephone communications, phone etiquette, customer service skills and professionalism
  • Familiarity with FCRA laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of court proceedings and terminology
  • Ability to work individually and as a member of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong data entry, computer and clerical skills
  • Ability to type with minimal corrections required
  • Ability to communicate well, written and verbally with all levels from CEO to Administrative staff
  • Must be willing to cross-train in other areas and flexible to change tasks upon short notice
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.

Criminal Records Researcher Responsibilities

  • The primary goal is to determine reportability of criminal records by utilizing company and screening guidelines and best practices
  • Criminal Research includes the examination of information from multiple sources.
  • Adjudication of criminal records
  • Contact courts or agencies as needed during investigations to clarify or gather additional information

Verifications Specialist Responsibilities

  • Verifications Specialists are responsible for professional and timely completion of all verification assignments
  • Conduct telephone calls to verify Employment, Degrees, Education, Licensing and Reference Checks.
  • Ability to process a high volume of new orders and an existing workload of open/pending verifications on a daily basis while maintaining a very high quality-of-work level.
  • Research and investigate references and complete verifications in a timely manner and according to FCRA regulations
  • First level phone support for clients, end-users and internal staff

Experience:

  • At least two (2) or three (3) years of prior or current experience
  • Data Entry: 3 year (Required)
  • Customer Service: 3 year (Required)
  • High volume phone calls: 3 year (Preferred)

Education:

Degree in Criminal Justice or related but experience preferred.
