Description
The Group’s activities and assets require a number of different insurance covers, which also need to be aligned with the insurance requirements of the employers (direct and / or end clients) on the various projects the Group is involved in. Such covers range from typical marine insurance (P&I, Hull & Machinery, War Risk, Charterer’s Liability) to General Third Party Liability, Extended Contractual Liability, Professional Indemnity, Construction All Risk including DIC/DIL etc. The successful candidate will need to be able to source, negotiate and bind such insurance covers based on requirements and regulations, and handle all necessary actions relating to these insurance covers and their operation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Handle all marine insurance for a fleet of nine (9) offshore vessels (P&I, Specialist Operations, ECL, Hull & Machinery, War Risk)
Handle all potential Charterer’s Liability for charter-in tonnage, and Builder’s Risk for owned tonnage under occasional conversion
Handle all project-related insurance covers such as, but not limited to, GTPL, PI, CAR, CAR Deductible Buy-Back
Handle all insurance covers for Groups land-based assets and personnel
Liaise with underwriters and/or insurance brokers for sourcing insurance covers (mentioned above) or seeking new products available on the market in order to better protect the company from financial risk and losses
Operate all such insurance covers, in terms of necessary documentation to Underwriters and distribution of documents internally
Keep track of all operations within the Group and ensure that all required insurance covers are in place and valid
Provide all necessary insurance documentation to Group’s employers, whether for owned operations and assets or hired
Review contracts, with regards to insurance and liability assignment, providing input to negotiations and ensuring compliance and appropriate flow down
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Insurance & Risk Management, or similar, would be beneficial
Master’s degree in Insurance & Risk Management, or similar, would be a plus
5 - 7 years of working experience in similar role
Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English language is required;
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office is required;
