The Role
Working in the ERP finance systems and SQL databases area, you will support systems and applications in this role. Being involved in both new projects and maintenance of BAU (Business As Usual) system services and your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide nationwide IT support to our stores via a help desk environment
- Provide application and system operational support to our Great Plains (GP) users; including translating business requirements into technical and functional specifications, investigating, and resolving problems, documentation, assisting with training and working with key stakeholders
- Be a part of the project team as a resource working on interfaces between GP and other business systems using tools such as SmartConnect and Integration Manager (IM)
- Vendor / Contract maintenance and management, by assisting with business cases, establishing contracts, collaborating between system owners and monitoring performance
- Maintaining core systems in the business by monitoring SLAs, upgrading systems, and supporting core system issues
- Contribute to authoring technical documentation for technical related projects
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Some experience in GP (preferred) or other ERP system
- Experience in data flow and mapping between system using tools like SmartConnect/IM
- Proven experience testing software
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, highly organised and effectively solve problems
- Relevant IT qualifications
- Strong report writing skills
We need an ‘all-rounder’ capable of multi-tasking and setting priorities with their assigned task. To perform, you will need to use a broad set of IT experience and skill set. You will also be very flexible and adaptable, willing and able to work on a diverse range of tasks. You will have strong “trouble shooting” skills, and while you are able to work with minimal supervision, you enjoy being part of a close team.
