Registered Nurse (RN) - Facility Telehealth Coordinator
. This position will be located in the Chief of Staff Office. As an RN-Facility Telehealth Coordinator, you are responsible for the following duties to include, but not limited to:
Provides strategic management and direction for the delivery of quality telehealth care to patients.
Provides professional assessment, coordination, and planning of multiple health care services.
Uses evidenced-based and best practices, technology, health education materials, nursing and other clinical disciplinesÂ' expertise, to manage the health care process and limit the inappropriate health care services.
Assures the implementation and maintenance of the standards for the telehealth program.
Manages the telehealth program by monitoring the daily operations of the program and to ensure that policies and procedures are followed and practiced.
Ensures all nurses within the telehealth program have current, validated and documented compe! tencies.
Ensures compliance with the Conditions of Participation of the Office of Telehealth Services.
Plans for personal growth as related to professional goals based on self-assessment, evaluation and feedback.
Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and expertise regarding the telehealth program to meet its goals.
Works with other departments to ensure proper clinic set-up, coding, workload capture, data management and technology purchases.
Provides leadership and works collaboratively to improve and sustain the quality, safety and effectiveness of telehealth related processes which involve regular communication with clinical, administrative and technical staff both within the VA and with external organizations/vendors.
Through instruction, consultation, collaboration, clinical and administrative responsibilities, serves as a resource to staff and the community in the areas of telehealth.
Collaborates ! with the health care team and providers at the facility and community b! ased outpatient clinics to ensure continuity of the patientÂ's care throughout all health care settings.
Uses interpersonal communication strategies with individuals or groups that result in the achievement of the intended outcomes.
Participates in performance improvement activities by evaluating patient care systems that may include standards, protocols, and documentation for efficiency, safety and quality.
Applies critical thinking and analytical skills to identify barriers to the delivery of telehealth services.
Utilizes creativity and innovation and recommends changes that will improve the delivery of telehealth services.
NOTE: Assignment to other areas of the service line, medical center, or other CBOC's may be required. The Registered Nurse -Facility Telehealth Coordinator reports to the Administrative Officer to the Chief of Staff Office and works in collaboration with his/her assigned CORE team, however, assignment! s may be made to other areas for purposes of cross coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Citizen of the United States.
Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency
and
accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active and unrestricted registration will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.
Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
Applicant's education and length of nursing practice (experience) will be considered by a Nurse Professional Standards Board in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected. The recommended salary may be at any point in the range listed for this vacancy. Education/Experience Minimum Requirements:
 Nurse I Level I - An Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing, no experience.
 Nurse I Level II - An ADN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 1 year of experience, or an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelor's degree in a related field and no experience; or a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) and no experience.
 Nurse I Level III - An A! DN or Diploma in Nursing and approximately 2-3 years of experience, or ! an ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelors degree in a related field and approximately 1-2 years of experience; or a BSN with approximately 1-2 years of experience, or a Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or related field with a BSN and no experience.
 Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of experience, or ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a bachelors degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 years experience or a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 years experience, or a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no experience.
 Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 years experience or Doctoral degree in nursing or related field and approximately 2-3 years experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The work requires some standing, walking,
bending, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying of light items but is mainly a
sedentary position consisting of computer entry, answering phones, and
teleconferencing. Duties may require extensive periods of standing and walking
occassionally and may also require pushing, pulling or lifting of Telehealth
equipment. In many situations, the duration of the activity (such as most of a
workday) contributes to the arduous nature of the job.
