DUTIES:
The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Coordinator may be filled as a Psychiatrist, Psychologist or Social Worker.

There is one vacancy for the three posted announcements. The duty station is located at Hot Springs, South Dakota.

Incumbent serves as PTSD program coordinator and is administratively responsible for clinical programs providing treatment to patients in a major specialty, such as residential treatment Post Traumatic Stress Disorder at the Hot Springs site and the Outpatient PCT (PTSD Clinical Team) Program at the Ft. Meade! site.

The responsibilities at the two primary sites of VA Black Hills Heath Care System require weekly travel between those two sites.

The coordinator typically provides and manages direct patient care services in the specialized practice, is licensed or holds certification in a state at the independent practice level. The Coordinator is capable of practicing at the advanced level and has specialized knowledge of practice typically related to a particular diagnosis or population.

They manage the daily operation of the program, develop policies and procedures for program operation and prepare reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use.

The Program Coordinator has overall responsibility for clinical programming, development of new treatment approaches, policies, and procedures; administration and staff supervision of the PTSD program. The incumbent manages the daily operation of the program, develops policies and procedure! s for program operation and prepare reports and statistics for facility! , VISN, and national use. The incumbent manages and controls the use of data related to these programs regarding day to day functioning and program evaluation. They may be responsible for the programÂ's budget and various control points assigned to the program within the assigned areas.

The incumbent reports directly to the Residential Treatment Program Chief.

2 years of experience in an area of PTSD is preferred but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
US Citizenship

Have a doctoral degree in psychology form a gradaute program in pscyhology accrediated by the American Psychological Association (APA). The speciality area of the degree must be consistent with the assignment for which the applicant is to be employed.

Have successfully completed a p! rofessional psychology internship training program that has been accredit3d by APA.

GRADE DETERMINATIONS:
The full performance level of Psychology is GS-13. The PTSD Program Coordinator is at the full performance level at GS-13.

Physical Requirements:
The clinician work is sedenatry in nature. It is necessary to travel between offices and buildings for meetings.
